Art has always been a big part of my life, visually present in my everyday life through natural and artificial patterns. Patterns of information go unnoticed but they are found daily in the most mundane things that surround us. I started this project in 2007 mixing photography and painting with different techniques and mediums. As a reflection of my own dual professional background as a lawyer and visual artist, I create expressive abstract compositions that combine juxtaposed techniques: runny acrylic paint and water marbling against precise and sharp edge textures (like silver leaves, bark paper, chalk, acrylic and oil painting) and bright and vivid neon tones. These overlays seem at first spontaneous and gestural, but on a closer look they reveal themselves to be components in a carefully calculated structure. I find inspiration in nature and patterns, which is why I often include geometric shapes in my artwork.
